Privacy policy

This page explains what beigify does with your personal data. beigify is not released yet, so at the moment the only thing here is a waitlist.
beigify is a small independent project, not yet a registered company. Whoever is behind it is the controller of your data, and is reachable at hello@beigify.app — for anything in this policy, including the rights listed below.
What we collect
What you type into the waitlist form:
- Your email address.
- Which phone you use, if you answer that question.
- Which app takes most of your day, if you answer that question.
Anonymous usage statistics
We also count how the site is used, so we can tell whether anyone reads it: pages opened, how far down the page people scroll, which buttons are clicked, roughly which country and which kind of device, and where the visit came from. This is measured by PostHog in cookieless mode, which means no cookie is set, nothing is stored in your browser, and there is no identifier that follows you between visits or to any other website. PostHog derives a temporary identifier from your IP address and browser that changes every day and cannot be reversed into either.
Your email address is never sent to the analytics; it goes only to the waitlist. We cannot connect a visit to a person, and we do not try to.
What we do not do
No cookies are set, by us or by anyone else, which is why this site has no cookie banner. There is no advertising, no advertising pixel, and no tracking that follows you to other sites. Fonts are served from this site rather than a font CDN, so loading the page does not hand your IP address to a third party. We do not sell your data, share it for marketing, or profile you. There is no session recording: we count what happens on the page, we do not replay your screen.
Why we are allowed to hold it
For the waitlist, consent, under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You gave it by submitting the form, and you can withdraw it at any time by asking us to delete your entry. Withdrawing does not affect anything done before you withdrew.
For the usage statistics, our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Because nothing is stored on your device and no identifier survives the day, this is about as little as it is possible to measure and still learn anything. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we honour it.
Who else processes it
- Formspree, Inc. (United States) receives and stores the waitlist submissions on our behalf.
- PostHog (EU cloud, hosted in Germany) processes the anonymous usage statistics on our behalf. This data stays inside the EEA.
- Render Services, Inc. (United States) hosts the site and, like any web server, records requests including IP addresses in its logs.
Data leaving the EEA
The processors above are based in the United States, so your data is transferred outside the EEA. These transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
The waitlist: until beigify launches and we have invited you, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If the product is abandoned, the list is deleted.
The usage statistics: they are anonymous and there is no way to find your visits among them, so they are kept as aggregate numbers and cannot be individually deleted on request.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how it is used, and receive it in a portable form. Write to hello@beigify.app and we will respond within one month.
You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority if you think we have handled your data badly.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so here and update the date at the top.
